A Foundation Horse
A Hadban Inzihi bred by Jakin Ibn 'Aqil, Shaykh of the Da'ajani section of the 'Utaybah tribe and imported in 1883 to India by Shaykh Ali Ibn Amr of Basrah. Imported in 1884 from India to England by Wilfrid and Lady Anne Blunt.
NOTES: The above information is from Hadban's entry in Weatherby's General Stud Book Vol. XV, p599. It is consistent with material from Archer [1978, p97] and Upton [1980, p28], both said to be based on access to records of the Blunts. These references add that Hadban was exported in 1885 from England to Australia by Mr. Mackay.
Entry #3174 in the Raswan Index shows an intermediate owner in that it shows Hadban as sold by "Jakin Ibn Ali Sheybah" of the 'Utaybah tribe to Nasir Ibn 'Aqil of the Da'ajani section of the 'Utaybah. Nasir Ibn 'Aqil is then shown as selling Hadban to Ali Ibn Amr of Basrah.
