NOTES: The above information (except for the birthdate and breeder) is from the 1932 certified pedigree for *Bint Serra I from the stud of Prince Kamal al-Din. The RAS History, p37, describes the mare as Bint Jamila El Beida by Shueyman out of Jamila, a Saqlawiyah Jidraniyah of Ibn Zubayni.
The same information is shown in the entry for Bint Jamila in the Sheykh Obeyd herd book of the Blunts (Pearson, 1988, 140). This reference also gives detail as follows: Purchased from M. Suarès through Jacque Valensin in 1901 by Wilfrid and Lady Anne Blunt. Died later that year. The breeder is stated explicitly to have been Ali Pasha Sharif in Lady Anne Blunt's 1911 Sheykh Obeyd Catalog entry for Jamil (APS).
