A Pre-Registration Horse
A Dahmah Shahwaniyah of the marbat of al-Najib. Purchased by Wilfrid and Lady Anne Blunt in 1897 at the sale of Ali Pasha Sharif stock and imported to England later that year by the Blunts. Died 1912. Also called Bint Nura es Shakra or Bint Bint Nura.
NOTES: The above information (except for sire, dam and death date) is from the entry for Bint Nura in Weatherby's General Stud Book, Vol. XIX p899. This information is consistent with the entry for Bint Nura in the Sheykh Obeyd herd book of the Blunts [Pearson, 1988, 138], which adds sire, dam and death date.
The Arab Horse Society stud book pedigree for Feysul (APS), Vol. 2 p22, shows Bint Nura (BLT) as the dam of the sire of Feysul. This is evidently an error, since the sire, Ibn Nura (APS) was foaled nine years prior to Bint Nura (BLT).
