A Wadnan Khursan.
NOTES: Lady Anne Blunt [J&C, 11/25/1880] describes Mahruss as a young dark grey Wadnan Khursan at the stud of Ali Pasha Sharif. Lady Anne, in a herd book entry for Mahruss (BLT) says that Mahruss (APS) was a grey Wadnan Khursan stallion bred by Ali Pasha Sharif, by Wazir and out of the mare Al Khamsa indentifies as Mahroussa (APS), and as having died in Cairo in 1895 [Bowling, p123].
