A Pre-Registration Horse
A Kuhaylat 'Ajuz of the marbat of Ibn Jallab (or Kuhaylah Jallabiyah), purchased from her breeder by Wilfrid and Lady Anne Blunt in 1896 and imported to England in 1898 by the Blunts. Shown in Paris in 1900 and sold there to Count Strogonov for Russia in 1900. Dead by 1901.
NOTES: The above information (except for the later transfer, death date, and the apparently erroneous birthdate of 1888) is from the entry for Makbula in Weatherby's General Stud Book, [XIX, 903]. The information given here, including the 1886 birth date, is consistent with the entries for Makbula in the Blunts' Sheykh Obeyd herd book [Pearson, 1988, 138], as well as in Upton [1989, 145], which lists the transfer and death date.
