A Pre-Registration Horse
A Kuhaylat 'Ajuz of the marbat of Ibn Jallab (or Kuhaylah Jallabiyah). Purchased in March 1897 at a sale of Ali Pasha Sharif stock by Maitre Léon Cléry, who took her to France later that year. Purchased by Wilfrid and Lady Anne Blunt from M. Cléry in March 1898 after his return with Kasida to Egypt. Imported to England by the Blunts in May 1898. Died 1913. Also called Bint Makbula es Shakra.
NOTES: The above information (except specific dates, the intermediate ownership and that the birthdate is shown in evident error as 1893) is from the entry for Kasida in Weatherby's General Stud Book [XIX, 902]. The information as shown above, including the 1891 birthdate, is consistent with the entry for Kasida in the Blunts' Sheykh Obeyd herd book [Pearson, 139] and Raswan Index entry #4810. Raswan's correction entry #979 shows Kasida as out of Makbula El Kebira, dam of Makbula (APS), but the Blunt entries clearly indicate that Kasida was out of the Makbula they purchased. The transfer information is from entries in Lady Anne Blunt's Journals and Correspondence.
