A Pre-Registration Horse
A Kuhaylan 'Ajuz of the marbat of Ibn Jallab (or Kuhaylan Jallabi) purchased at the 1897 sale of Ali Pasha Sharif stock by Salah Bey Sharif, who sold him to Sayyid Muhammad Fathi, who sold him to Wilfrid and Lady Anne Blunt in 1898. Imported to England by the Blunts in 1904. Died 1917.
NOTES: The above information (except for the name of the dam, date of death and the transfers of ownership) is from the entry for Feysul in Weatherby's General Stud Book [XX 945]. This entry describes Feysul's dam as "a Kehileh Jellabieh, whose grand-dam was purchased by Abbas Pasha I, Viceroy of Egypt, from Feysul Ibn Turki, Emir of Riad, who had her from Ibn Khalifeh, Sheik of Bahreyn..." The RAS History entry on p41 for the sire of Ibn Yashmak shows Feysul as out of "El Arga," also called Bint Bint Jellabiet Feysul. The entry for Feysul in the Sheykh Obeyd herd book of the Blunts [Pearson, 145] is consistent with the GSB entry and adds the transfer history. Lady Anne Blunt's handwritten entry for Feysul photographically reproduced in Upton [1980, 8] concurs, describing Feysul's dam as Bint Bint Jellabiet Feysul, "also called 'the lame.'" The name El Argaa means "crippled.
