A Pre-Registration Horse
NOTES: The above information (except for color and breeder) is from the RAS History, p82. The 1932 certified pedigree for *Bint Bint Sabbah from the Royal Agricultural Society describes Ibn Nadra as a Dahman by "Senari" out of Nadra. Colin Pearson [1988, xxviii] describes Ibn Nadra as a grey stallion of Khedive Abbas II that went to the RAS in 1914 and died in 1924. The color could be assumed to be grey, since his daughter Bint Gamila (KDV) was a grey out of a chestnut mare. The 1914 and 1924 dates appear to have been picked up from the RAS entry for his daughter, Bint Gamila, who was acquired by the RAS in 1914 and died in 1924.
Lady Anne Blunt [J&C, 12/22/1908], while visiting Prince Mohamed Aly's stud, reports that Nadra El Kebira has just arrived from the Khedive's stables, so it would appear that the Khedive would be the breeder of her 1905 foal.
