A Dahman Shahwan of the marbat of al-Najib. Purchased from Timur Bey by Lady Anne Blunt in November, 1909.
NOTES: The 1932 certified pedigree for *Bint Serra I from the stud of Prince Kamal al-Din describes Sahab as a Dahman Shahwan stallion by Kaukab out of Bint Azz. However, Sahab is entered by Lady Anne Blunt in her 1911 Sheykh Obeyd Catalog as out of "Azz," by Ibn Nura out of Bint Azz. Bint Bint Azz was called Azz by Lady Anne. The Sheykh Obeyd herd book [Pearson, 146] shows the same parents for Sahab as the 1911 catalog and describes him as purchased in November of 1909 from Timur Bey.
Raswan Index entry #8888 agrees with this pedigree, but lists Sahab's breeder as Lady Anne Blunt. Since the purchase of Sahab is referenced by Lady Anne [J&C: 11.20.1909], this is clearly not correct.
