NOTES: The 1932 certified pedigrees for *Fadl and *Maaroufa from the Manial Stud of Prince Mohamed Aly show Mahroussa as a mare from Manial Stud by Mabrouk and out of Negma. A famous mare, her photos by Carl Raswan became synonymous with Manial Stud and Egyptian Arabians.
Both the AHC stud books and the 1932 certified pedigrees describe this line as being Kuhaylan 'Ajuz of the marbat of Ibn Jallab (or Kuhaylan Jallabi), tracing to Jellabiet Feysul (AP). Modern mtDNA testing has confirmed the information from Lady Anne Blunt's Journals and Correspondence indicating that the line instead goes to Ghazieh (AP) through Yemamah (APS).
